Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of November 7th, 2021
Message from the Principal
Greetings Davenport Families!
“Thankfulness creates gratitude which generates contentment that causes peace.”
― Todd Stocker
We have one week down of our THANKFULNESS challenge! Reflect on what you were thankful for this week, know that bigger and better things are ahead. When we focus on the positive things, and keep a positive mindset, it helps to attract positivity. With that said, continue to challenge yourself to think about the good things each day! Be thankful that we are able to see yet another day to impact the lives of our future by Embracing, Engaging, and Educating. Have a great weekend!
Parents please be reminded of the following:
Health Affirmations: Please return the signed document to school as soon as possible for your child, if you haven't done so already.
Virtual Book Fair: Please support the Davenport Parents' Club and Davenport students by purchasing books online. Please see the flyer for details below.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Reading Goals!
Congratulations to Ms. Thavisack and Ms. Sabella's 3rd grade students for achieving their monthly reading goals! They were awarded with pencils from the Principal, Mrs. White, and a special shout out from Mrs. Conroy over the school intercom! Way to go! Keep up the good work!
Respect the Bus Winners'!
Every week each Davenport Bus drivers select one or two students that are doing an outstanding job while riding the bus to and from school. The students names are put into a pile and two lucky Winner's names are pulled to receive a prize from our Renaissance Team Advisors. This week we had a total of 35 students names submitted! CONGRATULATIONS EAGLETS!
This week we have two elementary students who were selected for showing respectful behavior on the bus and following the rules.
One bus driver, Mr. Mack, stated; "The student shows leadership skills and great manners while on the bus!"
