Strategic Plan Stakeholder Committee Volunteer Request
Join us in creating the future for your Florence Township School District!
The Florence Township Board of Education will be developing our school district’s next five year Strategic Plan. With pandemic health and safety considerations in mind, we will be using a robust virtual strategic planning process facilitated by New Jersey School Boards Association. A critical aspect of the strategic planning process is the involvement of a cross-section of district stakeholders to share their inputs and help develop the Goals & Objectives, which will be the foundation of the five-year Strategic Plan. To ensure that district stakeholders play a major role in our strategic planning process, the Board is establishing a Strategic Plan Stakeholder Committee, which will work with our New Jersey School Boards Association facilitators. The committee will focus on the strengths of the district, the challenges that we face, the ideas and hopes we have for our students and ways in which we can tackle the challenges while enhancing our students’ college and career readiness.
On behalf of the Board of Education, the Superintendent is requesting 50 volunteers (district staff, parents, community members, students) to become members of the district’s Strategic Plan Stakeholder Committee. The Strategic Plan Stakeholder Committee will meet three times on the following dates:
March 17, 6:00 PM (Meeting length: 2.5 hours)
April 15, 6:30 PM (Meeting length: 1.5 hours)
May 3, 6:30 PM (Meeting length: 1.5 hours)
If you would like to volunteer to be a part of this exciting process and you are able to commit the time to participate in all three meetings, please contact Ms. Linda Garganio at (609) 499-4600 ext 1001 or email FTSD.StrategicPlanning@Florence.k12.nj.us by 4:00 p.m. on March 5, 2021. The Office of the Superintendent will contact everyone selected for the committee.
