Preamble
(Revised Edition)
We the people of the United States,
In order to update our preamble to face more contemporary issues, address our relations with other nations, our rising problem of pollution, the rights of marriage that are deserved by all people, the support given to those in need, and the weakening of our economy, do address the need for our country to change.
Pollution
Approximately 40% of lakes in America are too polluted for fishing, aquatic life, or swimming.
Marriage rights
Barack Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to publicly declare support for the legalization of same-sex marriage.
Poverty
The US Census declared that in 2010 15.1% of the general population lived in poverty.
Economy
The national debt equates to $44,900 per person U.S. population.
Foreign Affairs
Washington and Moscow have a particular responsibility to set an example for the world, because we still deploy over 90 percent of the nuclear weapons on our planet.
