A Few Reminders

from Miss Kimberly and Miss Sue

Snack Calendar

Hello Parents! I hope that everyone received the snack calendar that I emailed last week. I was surprised to see that '10 pm' had been added besides your children's names. I will adjust that for January. If you didn't receive it please let me know.

Please remember to bring in two/three bananas with your snack choice. If you prefer to bring in some extra thin carrots instead that is great too. The children really enjoy doing these kinds of works. Sometimes a child will prepare a banana and decide to put it on the snack table for his friends. Others enjoy having the banana for themselves. Either way, it's not really about eating the banana or carrot but the process of preparing and cleaning up.

*For the Tuesday/Thursday group we have a tomato allergy. Please keep this in mind when choosing snack for this group.

In preparation for our 'Thanksgiving Soup Feast', I would like to know if any parents would like to donate 3 bags of extra thin carrots. Our class will be contributing carrots to the All School Thanksgiving Soup. We would need the carrots for next week (November18th and 19th). On Friday November 22nd, the children in the M/W/F group will bring all the carrots that were prepared by both groups to the kitchen. The soup will be made by Monday (25th) so that the M/W/F group can also enjoy it! The M/W/F group will have their Thanksgiving snack in the classroom on November 25th. The Tu/Thursday group will have their soup on the 26th in the gym with the rest of the school.

Thanksgiving recess begins on November 27th.

Flowers - bouquet work

Please email me if your are interested in signing up! Otherwise the sign up sheet is on the bulletin board. Perhaps we can have fresh flowers every two weeks instead of every week. Most of the beautiful flowers you have been bringing have lasted for about two weeks. Thank you again!

Welcome new friends!

Bryce has joined the M/W/F class. There are currently 16 children in the classroom.

Michael and Thomas have joined the Tuesday/Thursday class. There are 12 children in the class.

Conferences- December 6th

Please remember to come into the school to sign up for an appointment to discuss your child's progress. You will be able to sign up for a 15 minute time slot. I believe your children will be able to go to Creative Arts during your appointment. If you cannot make it into the school please let me know by email if there's a time you would like to meet. If you are unable to meet on the 6th please contact me as well. I should have the conference sign up sheet on the bulletin board by Wednesday.

I look forward to meeting with you all then.
