CCPS Closure: 3/16/20-3/27/20
Will school buildings be accessible to the public during this time?
No. Schools will not be open to any public access during the closure. If you need to make contact with someone at the school, call the main office or email the building administration and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

Will technology support be offered if I am having trouble accessing instructional resources?
Contact your child’s school for questions regarding instructional resources.
What is the expectation for students to complete the available work?
In the past few weeks, our instructional staff has been working hard to provide educational opportunities to all students during this two week closing period. Please be assured that these opportunities will not be graded and are simply meant to ensure students stay engaged to the content being learned in class. While some of this work will be accessible online, schools may also be providing print copies for students.
Will there be an opportunity to access meals during this time?
The CCPS Food & Nutrition Department will be offering free meals throughout the mandated school closure Monday-Friday at the following locations:
Cecilton Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Holly Hall Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cecil Manor Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Thomson Estates Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Perryville Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
North East Elementary. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Elkton High School. Pickup window 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
These sites are open to all of the children of Cecil County. Meals will be bagged to be picked up and taken home.
How will CCPS be sharing information with families during the closure?
We will be sharing any updates with families through our mass notification system (call/email/text), on our website, and on our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Will these days need to be made up?
We will have more information about this in the coming days based on direction from the state. We will communicate this to families and staff once this is confirmed.
Will there be any activities such as high school athletics occurring during the closure?
No. There are to be no school-related events held during the closure, including captains’ practices.
