Our attendance policy states that if a child is absent for 10 consecutive days, they will be disenrolled. In addition, teachers are not responsible for providing school work for planned vacations and absences. Please think twice when planning or extending vacations that involve missing school.

Aspen Elementary SKIERS
At AES we have been working on establishing essential agreements which guide the way we behave and interact with others throughout our school in every setting. This year, we are adopting the SKIER acronym as a way to frame our essential agreements school wide. We hope that you will reinforce these positive attributes with your child at home.
Does your child ride the bus?
Bus Passes and Bus Changes:
If you need a new bus pass or want your child to catch a different bus home than usual, please visit the Transportation homepage. Links to the Bus Pass Replacement Form and the Bus Change Request Form can be found there. Students will not be allowed on a bus if they are not registered for a bus, and we will not be accepting handwritten notes or text messages from parents allowing students to ride a different bus.
What do I do if my child has symptoms or exposure to COVID-19?

Holiday Baskets - LAST DAY!
The Holiday Gift Basket program has supplied food and gifts to needy families in our Roaring Fork Valley for over 40 years. Run totally by volunteers, the program is a wonderful community effort. Numerous individuals, groups and schools participate. Around 250 families and approximately 1,000 people are served.
Aspen Elementary has participated in this program for many years. We will do this again this year. A tree with gingerbread tags will be in the school lobby starting Nov.8th. If you would like to participate, students and parents can take off a tag from the tree, buy the designated gift, and bring it back to school by the Nov. 29th deadline.
Please do NOT wrap the present and please attach the gift tag to the present. There will be a box in the lobby to deposit the gifts.
You may learn more or donate online here: holidaybasketsprogram.com/
Some ExEd groups at the high school are also raising money. You can donate through their GoFundMe link.
