Norfolk Junior High
I am completely against having school all year around for many logical reasons.
First of all, I am against all year round schooling because the farm kids wouldn't have time to plant crops. When school was first started, farmers realized that they didn't get as much work done as they did before school started. The economy wasn't as good so they decided to make summer so that when it came time for planting and harvesting the goods, they could do more with more help. So without summer, we wouldn't have any agriculture.
Secondly, I'm against having school all year around because it gives me a chance to get away from school and escape the people that pick on me because I go through it every day.I also hate the idea of having school year around because time with friends during the summer is shortened. Friendship is one of the most important things to me.
How Much Do You Know About Volleyball?
As most know, serving isn't the only move made in volleyball. If it was, people wouldn't play because it would be boring. Other than serving, there is passing (bumping), setting, and hitting (passing). In a game, there can only be six people. If there are less, you have to forfeit. There are usually two referees. When it comes to serving, there are two ways to get the ball over the net. You can either overhand serve, or you can underhand serve. In a volleyball game, you can only hit it three times to try to get it over the net. You usually try to pass it (bump) to the setter, then the setter sets it to the hitter (spiker) who then spikes the ball over the net.Did you know volleyball was invented by William G. Morgan in 1895? Volleyball was invented in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It was originally called Mintonette. Volleyball was originally based off of badminton. Some of the top players from 1984 were Karch Kiraly, Randy Stoklos, Singin Smith, Andy Fishburn, and Steve Obradovich. Volleyball became an Olympic sport in 1964. The volleyball used to be made out of the rubber bladder also used inside of a basketball.
King’s Men Try To Put Troubled Egg Back Together Again
By Shelby Mulford
Octoburary 37th, 1342.I was informed early Sunday morning that Humpty Dumpty Egg, the founding father of omelets, was reading quietly on a rough brick wall and fell to the ground. King Kitten’s men rushed to the scene where Humpty fell. The knights are currently investigating the crime scene. There hypothesis was that his step- brother, Jerry Giraffe, pushed him off out of jealousy because Humpty was always there mother’s favorite. Yet, he has not admitted to committing the awful crime that came close to taking his brother’s life. Humpty was taken to Story Village Hospital and is undergoing dreadful surgery, and will have to face many more obstacles on the way, including many years of check-ups and many types of medication. Jerry Giraffe was sentenced to court and if found guilty will have to spend 15 years in prison for attempted murder.
