Dear Hybrid Families:
We've gotten few questions about hybrid student schedules when they're learning at home, and I wanted to lift up these reminders:
- On the days students are learning at home, their teachers will post assignments and instructions to work on independently at their own pace. When they have completed their teacher's assignments to the best of their ability, they are welcome to move on to their next class.
- We encourage students to follow the same schedule they have at school to support their time management by reinforcing their routines. That said, if students complete their work early, that's great!
As always, thank you for believing in the power of neighborhood schools to bring our communities together, and thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

P-EBT Benefits are available for families!
Pandemic EBT, or P-EBT, provides families with children eligible for free or reduced-price school meals and attend a school participating in the National School Lunch Program with funds to help purchase food. This benefit is being distributed because students missed essential meals while schools were closed due to the pandemic this spring. Families can receive up to $279 per eligible child to supplement their food budget, regardless of immigration status.
Households that were receiving SNAP during the months of March, April, and May may not need to take any action; their P-EBT benefits may have automatically been loaded onto the EBT card they already have. Families with eligible children who did not receive SNAP during those months or who did not receive the automatic payment need to apply online to receive this benefit. The deadline to apply is September 23rd. Visit coloradopeak.force.com/PEBT to learn more and apply for P-EBT today!
MAP Testing: Friday September 25 (Math)
On Friday, 9/25, students should log on to their Math Google Classroom and join their teacher on ZOOM at 8:40AM for MAP testing instructions.
You can view the MAP testing schedule HERE, and it's pictured below.
Things to note about the modified schedule:
- Many of our students will finish their MAP test before the end of the scheduled end of the testing session. That is just fine. If they finish early, students are welcome to take a break OR get started on the rest of their work for the day.
- Students will have work in their three other classes in the afternoon asynchronously. They are welcome to work ahead and finish their day early if they're able.
- Please make sure students are reading following their teachers' directions carefully!

Join the Everitt PTA today!
Our mission is to support Everitt Middle School and build the Everitt community. We will do this by valuing our diversity, celebrating our differences, and expanding the community to include parents, students, Everitt teachers and staff, as well as the broader community including our feeder schools and Wheat Ridge High School.
Attending meetings is only one way to be involved. Please join the PTA by completing this form today! Dues are only $15 ($7 for Teachers) and can be paid via Venmo (@Everitt-Middle) or Paypal. (Note: Dues are not a barrier to membership in the Everitt PTA Community! If you need assistance with membership dues, please complete the membership form and send a note to EverittPTA@gmail.com so we may assist.)
We are forming committees to do outreach to our feeder elementary schools, add PTA members, fundraise for defined Everitt needs (including International Night), and for teacher appreciation. We can use everyone’s ideas, help, and passion for our community. What’s holding you back? Join us today!
