2022 Membership Kick-Off A Success!
Almost 60 women gathered the evening of August 23rd at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport to kick-off Impact100's fall recruitment with fellowship, networking, and celebration around a shared mission. Twenty-one women joined or renewed their memberships that evening. Many thanks to Rachel Reitan, Jessica Traw & Debi Walters for planning and hosting this exceptional event.
Generally speaking, recruitment is moving at a quick clip! With those that joined before, during, and since this event, we're excited to announce that we're officially more than halfway to our 100-member goal for 2022! Keep inviting your peers, colleagues, friends, and family members to be a part of our third year of Impact100!
2021-2023 Strategic Plan

Impact100 needs members willing to work on committees that will lead this work over the next two years. Please take time to complete the 2022 Service Opportunities Survey below.
2022 Service Opportunities

MEMBER INFORMATION
Member Deadline for 2022 is December 31st
Installment plan still available
As of October, this installment option allows for three monthly payments of $333/each! Click on the Become a Member tab and select Member Payment Plans. Should you have further questions, contact our Treasurer, Jessica Traw for next steps.
Will your employer Double Your Impact?
Maximize your impact with your company’s matching gift program! If you contribute the full membership amount, you can designate the match as additional grant funding, as a sponsorship for another woman, or as an operating donation. It's also permissible for an individual to utilize a company match that jointly totals $1,000, $1,100 (110% option), or $1,500 (Signature option).
While our Membership Team will provide guidance as applicable, it's the member's responsibility to ensure that the full balance is received from the matching gift program on/before the membership deadline on December 31st. Contact us at info@impact100wf.org for more information.
Impactships
Are you someone who wants to make an impact on our community but hesitates because of the financial commitment? For many of our members, $1,000 represents sacrifice and intentional budgeting to make a charitable gift of this size.
The Impactship program is designed with this in mind. A limited number of full or partial memberships will be designated to prospective members for 2022 dependent on available funding and the quantity and quality of applicants. Impactship members are asked to:
- Commit to a smaller financial gift initially, scaffolding financial gifts over a 2-3 year period to fully fund an ongoing membership
- Share our message, recruit new members, and engage with current members at events
- Actively participate on a Focus Area Committee and vote at the annual meeting
Impactship applications for the 2022 membership cycle should be submitted on/before Monday, December 6th. The application can be accessed by clicking here. We highly encourage applications from individuals who identify with one or more minoritized/marginalized identities or historically underrepresented identity groups. Contact Marisa Hafley should you have questions.

GRANT UPDATES
2021 Grant Recipient
Congratulations are still top of mind for our 2021 grantee, First Step, Inc. The $81,000 grant will be used to create and sustain the Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) in efforts to educate offenders to reduce violence against victims. Learn more about this program by watching the Helping the Helpers feature with KFDX/TV3. You can also follow their progress via their Facebook page. Michelle Turnbow, Executive Director, will provide their first biannual progress report in January.
We're encouraging Impact100 members to learn more about how we can help prevent domestic violence especially in October during Domestic Violence awareness month. Visit First Step's website to learn ways to help your friends, family, and community.
First Step's services are always free and confidential. If you or someone you know has experienced domestic violence and you want to know more or seek services, call their 24-hour hotline at 800-658-2683.
ARC of Wichita County Grant Updates
In June 2020, $59,000 was granted to The Arc of Wichita County to purchase the property next to their day habilitation building for the purpose of renovating it for additional program space. It was an exciting day in April 2021 when The Arc took possession of the property. After an in-depth assessment on the usefulness and safety of the building, it was deemed too costly to renovate. So, the decision was made to demolish the building and rebuild a new structure that will connect to their current building. The reconstruction of the parking lot has been postponed to align with the next phase.
As discussions are underway for the rebuild, The Arc staff realized that the adjoining land would serve as a premiere outdoor recreational space. So, for the short-term, the grant from Impact100 is helping in an unexpected way on the journey toward expansion. New opportunities for this wonderful space include recreational, educational, and wellness activities.
Further down the road, a larger and more accessible building, will make it possible for The Arc to accept more individuals, offer more space for individualized learning and recreation, add special bathroom accommodations for individuals needing more assistance, and implement classrooms for work and life skills to better assist members to live more independently.
We encourage all members to continue to follow the work of The Arc of Wichita County:
General Information
Are You 'IN THE ZONE?'
Impact100 Wichita Falls divides our membership into zones. Why? We want to engage and better communicate with members in a more organic way instead of relying solely on social media and attendance at larger events to meet your engagement needs. Currently, our Board Members manage the ten Zones. If you're unsure who your Zone leader is, especially if you're a newer member, email us at info@impact100wf.org, and we'll get you 'IN THE ZONE.'
In the year ahead, we'll be expanding the purpose of Zones to foster a sense of community within smaller groups to enhance the membership experience and strengthen the organization. Zones groups may get together for smaller events to get to know each other better - like you see with Katie Britt's recent lunch bunch in the photo. Members will be invited to participate as much, or as little as they like to get the most of their Impact experience.
