Sophomores! Have you applied for graduation?

The February 5 deadline to apply for May graduation has passed, but you have until February 29 to submit a paper application. Check your Emory email for the step by step instructions include paying $25 late fee, completing the paper application, and printing a copy of your degree audit. Check your inbox or your OPUS account for details.

Meet the Writing Center's iTutors!

This February the Writing Center launched a brilliant new initiative - the iTutors. They are all native Chinese speakers and will be a resource for other Chinese speakers who might want assistance thinking through "big ideas" in their first language. They are also there to support native speakers of other languages including English with their academic writing.

iTutors hold drop-in hours on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings.

Great job, Dr. Lisa Ward, for supporting the needs of international students! And congratulations to the iTutors - Siran Tian, Xinru Lu, Yi Xie, Fangyi Lin, Yixin Xu, and Zi Ao Liu!

Spring Break Approval Application - Available now!

Students can request approval to remain on campus during the spring break. Check your Emory email for the link to apply. Remember campus services including dining will be closed March 5 - 13 at noon.

ISP Trip: Atlanta Hawks vs. Houston Rockets - March 19

12 tickets left! Get ready to rumble! ISP invites students to join us for our annual Atlanta Hawks trip on March 19. Game time is 7:30 pm. Vans depart from Oxford at 5:30 pm.

Tickets available in the ISP office at $30 per ticket. Cash only.

Women's Studies Student Research Symposium - April 8

The 9th annual Women's Studies Student Research Symposium takes place April 7 in the Oxford Student Center. This year's theme is From the Margins to the Center: Global and U.S. Perspectives on Feminism and Feminist Activism.

Students who have done papers on gender, race, ethnicity and related topics in women’s studies are encouraged to submit abstracts electronically to present at this symposium by March 25. For further information and to submit your abstract please email Dr. Patricia Del Rey at

2016-17 Emory Alumni Board Leadership Scholarship - Applications due February 29

Four $10,000 EAB scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students whose actions, beliefs, and passions have improved the Emory community in the arts or sciences, academic, pre-professional or extracurricular pursuits, through mentorship, social outreach, or other avenues. Don't get scammed! - Tax Identity Theft Awareness Week

Students are often targets of scammers acting as Internal Revenue Service and other U.S. government representatives. Contact the ISP office or campus police if you think you may have been contacted by a scammer. Visit or to learn how to recognize and avoid immigration scams and find authorized legal services.
