The jutland battle also know as Skagerrak was between the german and brithish in the north sea near the coast of Denmark jutland peninsula.The battle began because it was bellieved the britain had naval supremacy not only in europe but throughout the world later in the afternoon of may 31,1916 first with a gunfire between the germans and brithish.British admiral john jellicoe maneuvered his boat to take advantage of the fading daylight scoring many hits that forced the german Scheer to retreat.
