Remember: No School on Monday, Sept. 2nd. Happy Labor Day!
Exciting New Opportunities at BES!
Another fun opportunity is through a connection with LHS students. The Wildcat CREW is a group of LHS students excited to organize, plan and lead clubs for BES students. Wildcat CREW clubs will be on Wednesdays from 3:20-4:30 for SIX weeks beginning at the end of September. Clubs are led by the LHS Wildcat CREW and supervised by Mrs. McIntire, Ms. Carlson & Mrs. Quinn (LHS). Watch for club details and sign up information next week! Thank you to PTO for sponsoring Wildcat CREW Clubs.
Chess Club is filling up fast! They will meet on Mondays from 3:10-4:10 in the BES commons. There will be 3 sessions this year. Each session is limited to 30 students. If you do not get into the 1st session, you will be able to sign up for the second/third one. Thank you to our volunteer, Heather Eslinger, for offering this opportunity!

This year for 5th grade students, we are planning a new program - BES Student Ambassadors. Students interested in becoming a Student Ambassador will help with the planning of various school-wide activities and be provided with leadership opportunities. More information to come!
We also have the Teammates Mentoring Program beginning this Fall. You can find out more here: www.teammates.org
On Wednesday, October 2nd at 5pm, the Louisburg Library is hosting Coffee with Your Elementary Principals! This is a chance for you to come hang out with Principal Emily Fleming from RES and myself. We look forward to seeing you!
Have a wonderful week and thank you for your support!

Metcalf Closure!
Please be aware that Metcalf Road in Louisburg from Amity to N. Third St. will be closed starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 for the Metcalf Culvert Extension Project. This joint project between the City and Miami County will extend the culvert to allow for the completion of the N. Metcalf sidewalk project constructed earlier this year. The road will be closed for seven working days. In the event of inclement weather, the delay will extend past seven days.
