PLCs begin this week
- Megan created links to place your agendas in a central location. You can access them through our Rice Way Notebook online.
- Agendas should be created prior to the PLC and notes from the PLC added during/after.
Counseling Forms
Please turn in your purple forms to Angela as they come in.
Parent Conferences
K-2: Teachers will meet with parents either by phone or in person be Winter Break. Conferences should be documented in View-It.
3/4: We will be piloting student lead virtual conferences in 3rd and 4th. Staff will assist students with a script and topics to share. Students will use either ARC in Canvas or Seesaw as the virtual platform for the conference. Students should have one conference by Winter Break and one in the Spring to share their progress with parents.
August/September Newsletter
Teams, please send your newsletter in to Celina by Monday.
Field Trips
PTO is asking for grade level dates and details for field trips. 2nd-4th grade, please plan your field trip for the 1st 1/2 of the year and K & 1st you can plan your trip after the Winter Break. Tabetha Smith would be your contact.
Less Than Annual Appraisal
To Qualify:
- Must be on a term contract
- Must have been evaluated under T-TESS for the 18-19 school year
- Must have been rated at least proficient on 12 of the 16 dimensions (not counting the SLO dimension), with no ratings of improvement needed
- Must have principal approval
Email your appraiser if you want to request a less than annual.
Professional Goals
Should be submitted by September 25th. Use the red paper that was placed your box to write your professional goals and post it on your classroom door by your schedule.
Student Learning Objective (SLO)
Last year teams, did an incredible job of developing these in PLCs. We are going to continue this same practice. Begin talking to your PLC about what you would like to focus in on for your SLO.
