Dear Marysville Families
Happy long weekend. There is no school on Monday January 16th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This day is a great opportunity to provide service to our communities in keeping with the legacy of this great American leader. Please see below for some events that may be of interest to your family.
The Marysville Lunar New Year Celebration will take place on Monday January 23rd.
Students will learn about this celebration next week.
On the day of the celebration there will be 2 Lion Dance performances
At 1:30-2:00pm. The Lion Dance team will start to perform for PreK-2
At 2:15-2:45 pm, the performance will repeat for 3-5
January is also the time for Winter Benchmark assessments.
All students will be taking the I-Ready Math curriculum assessment.
K and 1st students have DIBELS reading assessments.
2nd - 5th grade students have Reading and Math MAP assessments.
These assessments provide teachers with valuable information on student progress and assist with preparation for Quarter 2 report cards. More information about these assessments can be found on the PPS website.
January 26th is the end of Quarter 2. Friday January 27th is a planning day for the staff and a no school day for the students.
Quarter 2 report cards will be sent home on Tuesday February 7th.
