Our Vision and Mission

Vision:

To prepare students to become responsible 21st Century citizens and leaders in a global society.

Mission:

Killian Elementary, with the support of its parents and community, dedicates itself to providing an innovative curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment that will prepare students to be productive citizens in a global society.

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing." - Pele

Absences

If you will be out, please make every effort to put the absence into Alio as soon as possible. This week we ran into several sub positions not being filled which causes us to have to use instructional assistants to sub for those classes. In rare cases, we have more vacancies than we are able to fill with instructional assistants, therefore we have to sprinkle students among the grade level. Although we all work as a team and are willing to do what it takes, we ask that you take steps to alleviate that concern, both for your colleagues as well as your students. We would rather you put in the absence at 6:00, when you aren't feeling well, than to wait until 11:00, when you still aren't feeling well, to request a sub. If you need a tutorial on how to request a sub, please see Mrs. Sheftman. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

A Huge Thanks

On behalf of the admin team, we want to thank each and every one of you for stepping in and helping out in any way this week. Thank you for your flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Dr. Watson was so impressed by the way we, as a faculty, operated and we are so proud to work with all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we look forward to another great week!
