Distance Learning Options and Resources
iReady: Online Office Hours
iReady: Assigning Online Instruction
Moving forward, I recommend that you assign the lessons that would have been covered during the time we have been out. I have attached the correlation guide to help you identify which lessons go with our GSE standards. Please do not assign more than two to three lessons each week. Once all the material has been covered, you may also access the GSE report to identify and enrich specific student learning and help close any achievement gaps. (If you need a refresher on how to access the GSE report, please let me know.) I’ve also included a guide on how to create student groups to make this process of assigning lessons to certain groups of students easier.

Creating & Monitoring Student Groups
*Because of the high volume of teachers assigning lessons, there is a delay in when the students will see it from their account. Lessons will show up in their To-Do List. I recommend you assign the lesson the day before you let students know there are new assignments available.

Nearpod: Student-Paced Option Added to All Accounts
Nearpod has unlocked the Student-Paced mode for all Nearpod teachers through April 30th. Now, you can share Nearpod lessons with your students that they can move through at their own pace. You’ll still see their responses in your reports and can monitor their progress. If you need help with Nearpod, please let me know. I can easily walk you through how to use lessons you already have created.

Clever Update: New Teacher Portal
Updated Georgia Milestones in 2020-2021
- Replacement of all constructed-response items with technology-enhanced items in mathematics for all grades and courses.
- Reduction of 10 norm-referenced items
These updates should decrease the amount of time a student spends testing in mathematics by about 40 minutes. Keep in mind, the GMAS test design has not changed substantively. It is merely being shortened.
