Pizza Lunch: CUSD has arranged for all students to receive a slice of pizza at lunch on Wednesday to say thank you for turning in all federal survey cards in a timely manner. Regular lunch will still be available in the cafeteria.

Grading Period 2: Please remember to periodically check your child’s grades on PowerSchool. Reminder: Teachers have between 100 and 160 students, therefore it takes time to grade assignments and post grades. We appreciate your partnership.

School Resource Officers: CUSD is fortunate to have two SRO's, Officer Grace DelBagno and Officer Megan Nankivel. SRO's support our CUSD students both on and off campus.

It's Paraprofessionals Week: We are so proud to work with our amazing team of paraprofessionals who support our students at CMS. (photo below) If your child has benefited from the services of a paraprofessional, please consider writing a note of gratitude this week!

Big picture
Take a Vet to School Day: Special thanks to all of the veterans who joined us for the heartwarming event last Friday, as well as Kathy Cotten for coordinating and all of the parents, staff and students that helped to make it a beautiful and memorable day.

Halloween Costume Drive update! We delivered over 265 costumes to Monarch this year! Thank you for your donations and support!

The Monarch School sent us the message below:

Sending out a quick email this morning to say THANK YOU for your help at Monarch this week! On Tuesday, every Monarch student had the opportunity to come through the Halloween pop up shop and pick out a costume to wear. On Friday, elementary school students paraded around campus to trick or treat, middle and high school students each enjoyed a Halloween party, and all families were invited to participate in an after-school Trunk-or-Treat! It was a week full of festivities and we are so grateful that you were able to be apart of it!
