January Newsletter
January 12, 2021
Hello CGE Families and Friends!
Welcome to 2021! I am excited for the new year and I cannot tell you how happy we are that students will be returning to in person instruction in the coming weeks. Our teachers will be planning this week and will be ready to greet your children! (K-2 students resume in person on Jan. 19 and Grades 3-5 resume in person on Feb. 1. All students currently in VLA will remain in VLA at this time)
We will continue to have safety protocols in place including the mask requirement and social distancing outside of the homeroom classroom (and as much as possible in the homeroom). If there is a positive case of COVID in a classroom, the entire classroom would then move to Distance Learning for the required quarantine period of 14 days. Due to this possibility, we ask that students bring their iPad or Chromebook back and forth each day to school. This way they will be prepared for learning in any situation. Additionally, we will continue not allowing visitors in the building. If you need to pick up your child for an appointment or drop off item, please come to the main entry and ring the bell for assistance. Please wait in the vestibule and we will provide instructions. Thank you for your understanding!
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Be well!

A Note from Mrs. Faletti
Hello Caring Adults,
We are excited to Welcome Back our Wolfpups. We will be focusing on making the transition back to in person as smooth, fun and educational as we can!
We know we have families that have all kinds of emotions and feelings about coming back. Some are excited and some are scared and worried. Wherever you are, we are in it together! Here are somethings you can do at home to prepare for coming back.
- Talk positively about the transition, let your students know, we at CGE are so happy they are coming back.
- Reestablish bedtime routines and early wake-up times.
- Although it is not a new school year, treat it like you would a new school year in the fall.
- Get school supplies ready to go back to school.
- Pick out a favorite outfit to wear.
- Pack a special lunch or check out the lunch menu.
- Ask your student if they are worried about anything in particular and address the worry head on.
We are all in this together! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!

ALL THE THINGS. ALL IN THIS BOOK.
This school year will be talked about forever. The yearbook is an important keepsake from this remarkable time. Our yearbook program is working hard to put together a historic book that will be looked back upon to remember one of the most unpredictable school years of all time.
This year we will have a limited number of yearbooks printed! Reserve your copy today! This will be a book to reflect on all the challenges, changes and successes! There will be no options to customization or add accessories after Jan 29th.
Box Tops for Education
Since we weren't able to have our annual fundraising carnival this year, box tops are more important than ever! Box Tops have gone digital and are super easy to redeem using the Box Tops for Education app - no more clipping or sorting - just take a picture of your receipt and that's it.
If you discover a traditional Box Tops clip on a product, you can still clip it and send it to school. Every valid Box Tops clip is still worth 10¢ for your school. Make sure each one you turn in has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date. We can not except expired clippings.
