COMMUNITY

We had a fantastic Grandparents & Special Friends Day on campus this past Friday! Grandparents and friends enjoyed a very special chapel service, interactive classroom visits, tours of the Black History Month display in Art Lab, and mingled with old and new friends in the reception. We are thankful for all of the hard work and preparation provided by our event chairs, Jennifer Byrd and Karen Mills, and their fabulous committee. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this wonderful event!

SPIRITUALITY

This morning we welcomed a very special guest speaker to chapel for the beginning of our celebration of Black History Month. Mrs. Jackie Simien, news anchor for Channel 12, discussed her heritage and how it inspired her to write a childrens' book. Mrs. Simien talked about her journey to becoming a news anchor and told stories about her French-Creole background. We are grateful to Mrs. Simien for spending the morning at All Saints!

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Our Kindergarten students celebrated the 100th day of school last week! Each student brought one hundred items to school and incorporated those items into the lesson plan in a variety of ways including weighing them, sorting them, graphing them on a chart and much more! Can you believe we are over halfway through the school year?
