Securly Information for Parents
Dear Parents,
Our school uses Securly to keep students safe on their school-issued devices. As part of the solution, we have given you access to the free SecurlyHOME app. On December 14th, you will receive a “Welcome Email” from Securly, and you will be able to download the App. You’ll also start to receive a weekly email report each Monday containing a sample of your child’s online activity over the previous week.
Here is a letter explaining the app and how to access information. Please note that you will need to activate the account. (Principals, please read letter first before sharing out. Also, please talk to your secretaries and share info with them.)

A Simple message to bring games back into your house and classroom...Just a thought with the holidays approaching.
Here is some thoughts from an Elementary Teacher on Twitter, that Mrs. Sylvia Peters, Our Gifted Math Teacher at Muraski, found. She promotes games in the classroom as well as things your can do at home. Here message is below:
Kids these days don’t play games. Well, unless it’s Fortnite. ;)
It’s sad to see the lack of game play that our students get now days. Families are busier and kids are interested in watching YouTube and playing video games instead of playing dice and board games.
I come from a game-playing family and try as much as I can to play games with my own kids. This was especially top of mind recently because all we did over Thanksgiving was eat and play games.
Games are such a fun way to interact, teach kids some social “rules” about how to play with others, and they are also great for building math concepts!!
In today’s video, I share with you math-y games that my family plays but are also ones you can use in your classroom.
These games would be a wonderful addition to your classroom or your home. I hope that you find a new game you aren’t playing yet and bring it into you kiddos’ lives to not only get them playing games but also build their math minds.
