COST AND PAYMENT INFORMATION:
The cost per student is $120 and includes - Charter Bus, Park Entrance, Meal Ticket for one combo meal (drink included) at a variety of park restaurants.
Payment Options:
Payments may be made online at https://lcps.schoolcashonline.com, cash or check. Check should be made out to Smart's Mill Middle School.
Option 1:
Single installment $120.00 payment is due by Friday, April 28 2023.
Option 2:
Two $60.00 installments:
First payment: $60.00 per student is due by Friday, March 31 2023.
Second payment: $60.00 per student is due by Friday, April 28 2023.
Refunds for payment or partial payment are not guaranteed.
REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND:
The PermissionClik form must be submitted and the Field Trip Fee paid in full by the April 28th deadline - No Exceptions. Students must be in good standing with Smart's Mill Middle School. Discipline infractions may lead to students being disqualified from attending the field trip and forfeiting the field trip fee of $120.00.

EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS:
On the Bus:
- Students must stay seated, sitting face-forward, keep their hands to themselves, use appropriate language, and adhere to LCPS Policies.
- Students must help keep the bus clean for future use by cleaning up, throwing away trash, and ensuring all personal items are accounted for, including cell phones and backpacks.
- The driver must be able to hear the radio transmissions and concentrate while driving. Students must use an appropriate volume and must use headphones/ear buds if they choose to listen to music.
At Kings Dominion:
- Stay with at least one person in your assigned group, adhere to the schedule and instructions provided to you, follow all park rules, and follow all LCPS and SMMS rules. Failure to do so will result in consequences.
- Students will meet with their chaperone at designated times and areas throughout the day
- Be prepared for the weather, including comfortable shoes and clothing, sunscreen and water. Clothing must also be school appropriate.
- You may bring a cell phone, but you must use it appropriately and respectfully. If an adult asks you to put it away, you must do so. Your phone may also be taken by a staff member if deemed necessary due to inappropriate use.
- You are responsible for all items that you bring with you on the trip.
- The consequences for not following these rules may include but are not limited to: not being allowed to participate in the Pancake Breakfast, the End of Year 8th Grade Assembly and Field Day.
INFORMATION FOR CHAPERONES:
Parents and Guardians of 8th graders are welcome to sign up to Chaperone.
Chaperones make field trips possible and we love to have you!
Chaperones agree to be responsible for up to 10 students, including your 8th grader; abide by the policies and instructions of Kings Dominion, Smarts Mill Middle School and Loudoun County Public Schools at Kings Dominion and on the bus.

The cost of the trip for chaperones is $70.00 and includes the charter bus, park entrance, meal ticket for one combo meal (drink included) at a variety of park restaurants.
Please note that Chaperones must pay with a check or cash.
Payment in full $70.00 is due Friday April 28, 2023
Payment can be sent in to school with your student.
Chaperones will be selected on a first come first served basis so if you would like to spend the day with your 8th grader sign up early.

If you would like to make a donation to help sponsor other Smart's Mill students who may not have the financial means to attend the trip please email Ms. Sobahni at lisa.sobhani@lcps.org.
IMPORTANT ITEMS OF NOTE:
Remember - the Charter buses will not be stopping on the way to or from Kings Dominion.
Soak City (the water park) will not be open at the time of our field trip.
Drop Tower, Grizzly and White Water Canyon rides are closed until further notice.
Kings Dominion is now a CASHLESS Park. If a student plans on purchasing anything at the park please ensure they make the proper accommodations.
