Adventure Club Night Ski/ Snow Board Trip!
SKIING/SNOWBOARDING TRIP
Trip Info. and Permission Slip
Date: _Feb 7th 2020 (Night Ski/Snowboard)_ Location: Wachusett
Our High School’s PE Department & Adventure Club will be sponsoring a ski/snowboarding trip to Wachusett. Students and chaperones will meet at 2:30pm__and will be transported to the mountain by coach bus (approximately a 1.5 hour bus ride). Students will return at approximately 9:45pm_.
The purpose of each trip is to expose students at Scituate to an alternate physical activity that in our opinion is one of the greatest thrills of outdoor winter sports. This activity helps improve muscular strength, endurance, balance, coordination and agility. This trip gives our students the opportunity to demonstrate positive health habits, which include regular physical exercise and socialization with peers and adults in a drug free environment.
The cost of this trip is ticket $46 + Bus $14 = $60 for the lift ticket and bus ride. (Other options: Rentals are available at a group rate of $31, helmet $6, Beginner package Lesson and rental Includes a Monadnock & Carpet lift ticket, rental equipment, and a class lesson $70, or advanced Lesson $35 + Bus charge $14 .) Students will be responsible for the purchase of their dinner (or they may pack a bag dinner). Students should pay by check made out to Scituate High School and submit with the signed student pledge/permission slip (see below), minor-medical/consent form, and rules & regulations form.
Once a student makes the commitment to go on this trip there will not be any refunds.
This is a FIRST COME- FIRST SERVE event with a limited number of seats.
Students must dress warmly and in layers for the coldest of conditions! Gloves or ski mittens, hats or helmets, goggles, warm socks and jackets are required. Students can also bring quarters for a locker to store bags while on the mountain. Students should be in better than average cardiovascular shape as to be comfortable on the trails and responsible enough to behave on all phases of this trip. Students should also be in good standing academically and behaviorally with classroom teachers and with administration in order to attend this trip.
All forms and checks must be in by January 17th. For questions regarding this trip, please e-mail Mr. Reed at mark.reed@scituateschoolsri.net
