SEPTEMBER FAMILY CHALLENGE - Attend a Louisville Lions Activity
Did you complete the August Gaming Challenge? I received several photos of families playing their favorite games. The month of September is a crazy time for schedules and trying to be in eight places at once. I challenge you to go to one of the Louisville Lion activities as a family. We have softball, cross country, football, and volleyball games going on. Chances are pretty high that you will see my family at most of the home events. If you happen to see us at an event, please stop and introduce yourself. I wish you all the best tackling those busy schedules!!

Student Spotlight - Drew Neumann
Drew Neumann was one of the first Louisville Lion students I met. Drew is very kind, polite, and friendly. Anyone that meets this young man will be blessed by the Drew Neumann smile. This is the kind of attitude I want to spread to the entire school. We can all learn from Drew to smile more, be kind to everyone, and always be the first one to lend a helping hand.
Favorite Subject - Math
Activities - Drew stays active playing sports like basketball, baseball, and wrestling.
Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Klein
Interview by Drew Neumann
Drew- Did you always want to be a teacher?
Mrs. Klein - Yes, ever since I was in 4th grade. My teacher, Mrs. Reed, inspired me to become a teacher.
Drew - What are some of your talents?
Mrs. Klein - I love to read, and I love being a mom!
Drew - What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
Mrs. Klein - I love to travel with them.
Drew - What do you like about your kids?
Mrs. Klein - I love how adventurous they are. We all love to be outdoors.
One of Mrs. Klein's lifelong goals is to be on the show SURVIVOR!!
Drew and Mrs. Klein are two of the most positive people you will ever meet. I hope you enjoyed September's teacher and student spotlight.

COFFEE BREAK!
This school year, we would like to continue to provide the opportunity for staff at Louisville Elementary to enjoy a cup of coffee from Black Sheep Coffee House in Springfield on Fridays. New for this year, we will be making the coffee runs on the first and third school day Fridays of each month. If you are interested in donating money to treat a staff member to a cup of coffee, please send donations in an envelope labeled “coffee” to Lisa Sheehan.
Each Friday, names are drawn to see whose order is paid for by the appreciative families of Louisville. Donations can be made at anytime through the year. Thank you for your generosity!
HANDBOOK FORM
We are still missing several handbook permission forms in the office. If you lost your copy, please let Lisa Sheehan know and we can get you a new one. We use these forms for the 2019-2020 yearbook, field trip permission, social media shoutouts, and newspaper publishing. Please return these signed forms as soon as possible.
