Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Buccaneers!

We hope you had a relaxing Winter Break and had time to enjoy some quality time with family and friends. We hope you and your loved ones are doing well, staying safe and getting ready for a new semester.

We say hello to 2022! A new year gives us the opportunity to start fresh, set new goals, and make modifications where needed. What a great opportunity to set actionable steps to reach our most important goals for this year! Buccaneer Scholars, we hope that one of your priorities is to learn as much as possible and in turn earn good grades. Our 8th grade students have one semester to complete before they promote to high school and our 7th grade students are getting ready to become 8th grade students. What an exciting time!

As positive cases surge throughout San Diego County, we continue to take direction from our district supervisors in regards to Safety Protocols, Implementation of AB 167, and any other necessary actions needed during these unprecedented times.

In an effort to keep our students safely on campus, please be reminded that the spread of the virus in this time of Omicron is greatly mitigated by avoiding large gatherings and getting vaccinated and boosted. Thank you in advance for helping reduce the spread of the virus by practicing risk mitigation: masking, distance, hand sanitizing, and testing. Please do not forget:

  • If your child is sick, experiencing any symptoms of illness consistent with COVID-19, or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please arrange to have them tested and contact one of our administrators. Please DO NOT come to campus.
  • If you need to arrange testing options for your student, please review the list of testing sites we have available within our district.(please see the list below)
  • If your child tests positive for COVID-19, contact an administrator immediately, begin self isolation, and contact your healthcare provider.

Finally, this is just a reminder that staff report back on January 10th for a day of professional development. Students return on January 11th for a full day of instruction.

Thank you again for your support and may we have an amazing semester!

Here to serve,

Ms. Gracias
