6 Simple Ways to Pay-It-Forward
Getting Started
Sometimes it can be a little intimidating to show kindness to a stranger. We have good intentions, but that moment of reaching out and doing... well, that's a bit harder! Below are a few simple ways to get started to pay-it-forward with kindness.
Pay a Toll
Put some change in a parking meter or pay for the person's toll behind you on the parkway. Start your morning commute with a smile!
Share a Book
Share a book with a friend. Look on your bookshelf for a book you no longer need and donate to a local library or book fair. If you have children's books, consider donating to an elementary school or daycare center. Share the joy of reading with others!
Smile at Strangers
Never underestimate the power of your SMILE! You have the power to brighten someone else's day simply from showing your pearly whites. Click this link to read 11 reasons why you should smile each day.
Change it Up
Have any spare change? Collect it in a jar, then once a year cash it out and use the money to bless a stranger or donate to your favorite charity. You will be surprised how quickly all that change adds up!
Bake Cookies
Bake up a batch of cookies and share with neighbors or coworkers. Everyone loves a sweet surprise!
Noteworthy Thanks
Write a thank you card for someone you know. It takes less than five minutes to show your appreciation for someone who has made an impact on your life. I wrote a note thanking my dentist!
