Chris Merrill Principal MTA……Where Learning Never Stops!
Hello parents and families,
My name is Adam Coon, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to come back and teach 7th-grade math at MTA with extraordinary families, students, staff, and of course, my beautiful wife, Melissa Coon. I started with the Madison School District in 1999 and was fortunate enough to transfer to the Madison Traditional Academy in 2008. My wife and I were at Madison #1 when MTA took over a wing. When we saw the parents' involvement and dedication to their children’s learning, we knew we wanted to be a part of their success. We were so thankful that both of our children were able to attend MTA, where they built the skills and foundation needed to be successful in high school.
In 2012 I joined the Army Reserve, where I still serve. For the past year, I have worked as a procurement manager for the Arizona Dept. of Administration and the Defense Contracting Management Agency on the Military side. Our students must have a good grasp of mathematics, and I look forward to bringing some real-world experiences and the joy I have for teaching this subject.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to help your children succeed.
Regards,
Adam Coon
