The Mata Memo

November 9, 2021

Principal's Message

Hello Mata Families!

We are well into the month of November and it is one of my favorite times of the year! There is so much going on, and so much to be grateful for! Next Thursday is National Parental Involvement Day, and I want to say that our school is lucky to have parents and guardians like you! Thank you for being involved in our school. Did you know that research from the National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education says that "students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior and adapt well to school."? This shows that what you do for your child in partnership with the school matters!

Thank you for all that you do!

Tomeka Middleton Williams

Our goal is to collect 2,000 pounds of canned goods to donate to the North Texas Food Bank. The most needed items are cans of peanut butter, tuna fish, canned fruit, shelf-stable milk, canned chicken, and canned vegetables. So please donate what you can!
