Virtual Family Math Night

Dear Woodin Families,


We are excited to share with you that on Tuesday, May 31st, we will be hosting a Virtual Family Math Night event. You and your child(ren) will participate in a variety of engaging math activities from the comfort of your home. You’ll even have the opportunity to share photos and comments with your fellow schoolmates. *See the attached flyer for more details.*


We have limited supplies (in English and Spanish) for this event so please make sure to RSVP via this link as soon as possible. Participants will be chosen on a first come, first served basis.

As we prepare for next year's classes we invite parents to submit an input form that allows you the opportunity to communicate your child's needs. Please return the input form to the main office by Friday, May 27th.

Are you moving?

Is your family planning to move over the summer? Are you moving out of the Woodin service area? This information is vital to our planning process for next year. Please let the office know your plans as soon as you know, to allow a smooth transfer of student records between schools, and to ensure the end-of-year report card is sent to the correct address.

Enrollment Open for 2022-23 School Year

Registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. All new families as well as incoming kindergarten families, please visit www.nsd.org/enrollment to register your student.

PTA Membership Mtg. - May 24th

Join the PTA for the final meeting of the year and we are so excited we will be able to have it in person! We will be voting for new board members and presenting special awards. It is a wonderful time to come and meet fellow PTA members and get involved for next year. We hope to see you.

Woodin pta is looking for volunteers for next school year!

Woodin PTA is currently looking for one more board position for the 22/23 school year. There are opportunities of all sizes and responsibilities. Woodin PTA has a strong legacy and we would like to continue with our popular events and programs including Families Helping Families, Bingo Night, Art Docent, Science Fair, Multicultural Night, Book Fair, Field Day, and more!


Please consider joining our Board or volunteering as a committee member for next year! If the key* positions aren’t filled, we will unfortunately not be able to have many of these activities next year. Please contact the current PTA president, Heather hrangel34@gmail.com if interested in one or more positions.


*Vice President of Events (can be a shared roll)

· Oversees all events put on by the PTA: Ice cream social, Fall Festival/Fun Run, Bingo Night, Science Fair, Book Fair, and Field Day

· Communicates with the event chairs to make sure they have the support they need to make their events happen as desired.


*Social Chair

  • Updates website as needed with new information
  • Communicates events via social media
  • Keeps items up to date on the facebook page
  • Helps with distribution of flyers


Fall Festival Committee

• Will assist the current chair with the planning of Fall festival and fun run. This is the main fundraiser for the PTA and is a large outdoor event held at the school.


Spirit Wear Committee

• Assist current chair in promoting and selling Woodin t-shirts, sweatshirts etc. during the school year. Works with vendor on samples, logo etc. for gear. Distributes logo wear orders upon arrival.


Bingo Night Committee

• Relatively large event, plan and organize this fun and family-oriented social activity in the spring.
