"Don't judge a boy by his face." In the book Wonder there is a ten year old boy named August (Auggie) Pullman who doesn't have the face you would see on most kids. He was born with a "different" face than everyone else. Auggie has had many surgeries in his small lifetime. He is just about going into fifth grade. Although this year his parents are considering something new than being homeschooled. They are thinking of sending him to a school called Beecher Prep. Auggie is not convinced. What will all the other kids think of me? Finally when his parents convince him to go on a tour of the school, he meets Julian (a boy who is polite to some and others not), Jack-Will (a good student), and Charlotte ( a teacher's pet) who show him around. His parents don't want him to be self-conscious about his face. Throughout the book there are many different emotions and changes. Thsi book is told from many different people's points of view and they will lead you through the year in a heartwarming story.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to live in a cage? Well, Ivan has. He is a gorilla. It's not as easy as it seems. He lives with Stella the elephant and Bob the dog. They all live in different domains. All day little kids look at Ivan and throw food at him and spit on his glass domain. Stella is getting old and there is a new elephant coming. Stella said to Ivan, "Whatever happens to me, promise me one thing: you will protect her forever and always."

Artur is Nate's arch enemy. Mostly because Artur has Jenny the girl Nate likes, and Artur is better at EVERYTHING. Boy Scouts is starting up again and there is a competition for who can sell the most wall hangings. Nate finds these crazy ideas to try and sell wall hangings.
