Dr. Mosso-Taylor's
Monday Morning Memos - October 17 - October 21, 2016
Happy Monday!
After our half-day planning day on Thursday, followed by our District Inservice Day on Friday, I hope you had a wonderful, restful Saturday and Sunday! Mine was just a bit crazy, but at least it was beautiful outside. That always makes things better.
As you can see below, we have quite a busy week ahead of us - which includes Saturday! If you haven't done so already, please consider joining our CFA Rack Pack Team for Walk for Life. If you cannot walk please consider supporting our team with your donations. In honor of the walk, let's don our favorite pink shirts with our favorite (but appropriate) pair of jeans on Friday. I will share this with students at our community meeting as well.
Make it a great week!

I sent a letter home with the students last Thursday. I will follow up with another reminder via BB Connect and will place a couple of posters in our building. However, it would be great if you could remind parents as well.

Plan, Prepare and Practice
At my last Key Leaders Meeting this was a major portion of our discussion. It reminded me to ensure that we revisit and think about as many scenarios as possible. Please review our Emergency Plan prior to our faculty meeting at 3:30. We will review and discuss the plan and engage in some table top activities.
Here are a couple of articles that help us think about what's important: “Keep students safe and they will be able to learn. This is a daily work in progress.”:

Two GREAT articles that I read this weekend: Lesson Plans vs. Lesson Design and What Keeps Students Motivated. I think you will find them both insightful and, most of all, helpful!
