Dates for the 2022-23 School Year

Kindergarten parent only meeting 6:30pm on August 11th


Class Lists will be posted on our front and back doors at 4pm on August 12th.


Meet the Teacher Night on August 15th from 4-6pm (There will be popsicles on the playground for our Slate Hill Stars provided by our PTA)

  • Sign up for PTA
  • Pay your child's school fees (exact cash or check). Sorry we are not able to accept credit cards, however you can go to MyPayments Plus to do that.
  • Ordered EduKit Supplies will be in your child's classroom

Stop by your child's classroom first and then visit the gym on the way out to get a popsicle.


Curriculum Nights:

Kindergarten- Thursday, August 11th at 6:30pm


Thursday, September 1st:

- Grades 1st-2nd from 5-5:45pm

- Grades 3rd-5th from 6-6:45pm


First Day of School: August 17th (Grades 1-5)

Staggered start for Kindergarten- August 17th: Students with last names A-K (They do not come on the 18th) and August 18th: Students with last names L-Z (They do not come on the 17th)

First day for ALL Kindergarten students is August 19th!

For the 2022-23 school year, our start time will be 8:10am. (Doors will open at 7:55am).

Students will be marked tardy if they are not in class at 8:10am.


Our end time will be 2:50pm. All car riders, walkers, bus riders and daycare riders will be dismissed at the same time starting at 2:50pm.


With our start and end times changing, I wanted to be sure to remind parents of the HB 410 (attendance) information. Please review the district information about attendance here.

Please bring student medication on Monday, August 15th during Meet the Teacher Night from 4-6pm. Nurse Keathley will be here to receive the medication and forms. Please turn in your completed forms signed by the doctor with the medication so that we can administer medication the first day if needed. Please do not send medication and forms with your child to school. Parents MUST drop off the medications and forms to the office. Medication forms are available on the district website.

Also, K and 1st grade parents are encouraged to send a labeled change of clothes for their student to keep at school.

Have you completed your Emergency Data Review for your child?

Every year it is necessary that you review and update your child's emergency data. Please see the attached directions for assistance.


Parents can access their own login credentials by clicking the Password Recovery link under Quick Links on the Worthington Schools main page. They enter their email address (it needs to be the email that we have on file for them) and will immediately get an email sent to them with their district-provided username and password, which they can use to login to the Parent Portal as well as Infinite Campus.

MyPayments Plus

My Payments Plus is where you will pay school fees, Full day Kindergarten tuition and put money on your child's lunch account. Look under parent resources for this website.


For My Payments Plus, parents can find their child's 9-digit Student ID # by logging in to Infinite Campus and clicking on Today. The 9-digit student number is under student name, visible on both the app and when accessing Infinite Campus through the Parent Portal or the Infinite Campus website.


School Fees:

Kindergarten: $24.00

Grade 1-3: $42.00

Grade 4-5: $36.00

If you feel you qualify for free and reduced lunch, we suggest you fill this form out online (see above under Food Service). If you qualify your student's fees could be free or reduced.

Bus Information

Attention all bus riders! It is important that our transportation department has the correct pick up and drop off location for your child. Bus route information will be available August 3rd. Should you know in advance that your child will need dropped off at a location other than your home, please fill out the Alternative Transportation Request Form as soon as possible.

Food Service Information: The pandemic put a pause of families and students having the routines of using lunch PIN codes and depositing funds for school meals. For the 2022-23 school year PIN codes and cost of breakfast and lunch is back. Please review the link below with some updates from food service.

School Meals

  • School breakfast and lunch meals can be purchased for the 2022-23 school year at the following rates:
  • Breakfast: $1.60 ($0.30 reduced price)
  • Elementary Lunch: $2.75 ($0.40 reduced price)
  • We will be nut free elementary buildings, including peanuts.


Free and Reduced Meals

  • Families are encouraged to apply for free and reduced meal benefits HERE. The application is available in 10 languages.

  • Families can continue to add money to lunch accounts through MyPaymentsPlus as they have in past years.

Immunization Reminder


As a reminder, Section 3313.671 of the Ohio Revised Code states at the pupil’s initial entry, a pupil has 14 days to present written evidence that he or she is in compliance with the Ohio State School Immunization laws.

If your child is new to our school, please make sure to share a recent copy
of their immunization records. If your child has been previously enrolled in Worthington Schools and we have existing records, we do not need another copy. If your child is missing immunizations and you do not have a primary care provider, we have partnered with Columbus Public Health and will also be offering an immunization clinic on August 10th at Thomas Worthington High School. Please see the attached flier. Additionally both Columbus Public Health and Franklin County Public Health have regularly scheduled clinics.
