It's a great day to be a Bronco!
I hope each of you are doing well and staying safe. We care about you and we are here for you. Fantastic job Broncos on working on your first week of Online Learning. I am very proud of our teachers working together, creating fun, and engaging lessons for our students. I am very proud of our students for working on their online learning assignments. Below is our schedule for the week of 4/13/20:
On Monday, April 13th (Teacher/Student Meet ups Online) our fantastic teachers will be meeting up with you and providing your week 2 of our online learning. Students’ online homeroom teacher will be in contact with their students. Students will have the opportunity to share and update their online homeroom teacher with their online learning progress.
On Tuesday, April 14th & Thursday, April 16th (Teachers help provide Content/Subject Support to students) – Students can meet online with their teachers and ask for clarification and assistance with their online work for the class.
On Wednesday, April 15th (Teacher Planning) – Teachers will be meeting with their professional learning communities and planning for the following weeks online lessons.
On Friday, April 16th (Teacher/Student/Family Meetups Online) – Online homeroom teachers will meet with students and families to provide a progress update on how the student is doing.
Thank you to all those in the medical community and all those other members of the community putting themselves at risk to keep us safe. Though our lives have drastically changed, we are El Paso Strong and remain steadfastly united to overcome this challenge.

Plans During School Closure
The El Paso Department of Public Health has recommended all school districts to close. Our school will be be online for our students. During this time, our amazing teachers will be working with our students online to make sure our students' educational plans continue and we are committed to helping our students with our accelerated school model by providing our students the opportunity to catch up on their school credits and work toward their graduation goal. In addition, our dedicated custodians will continue to work to ensure the entire school is thoroughly clean and disinfected.
Breakfast and Lunch meals will be provided at the following campuses to students 18 and under on a drive thru basis: 7:30-8:30 am or 11-12:30 pm
Hanks High School, Bel Air HS, Riverside HS, Eastwood HS, Del Valle HS, Ysleta HS, Parkland HS, Bel Air MS, Del Valle MS, Parkland MS, REL Elem., Constance Hulbert, Desertaire, and Capistrano.
Comprehensive Care Center

The YISD Comprehensive Care Center located at 300 Vocational (next to Riverside HS). Hours are from 8 am to 4 pm; please call for an appointment (434-7200); walk-ins welcome
Our School Nurse Information - Nurse Mares
Stay at home as much as possible. Maintain a distance of 6 feet from others. Cover your cough or sneeze. Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds.
If you feel ill and experience fever, coughing and shortness of breath:

*Elderly people over 65yrs. with a temperature of 99.6F or above may call (915) 212-0783.

Monday, April 13, 2020 - Assignment
Students will complete the following:
Students will follow their course classes given to them for quarter 4, an online homeroom teacher will review the students’ courses with them.
Monday are Meetups with online homeroom teacher. Classroom assignments for the week are posted in your Google Classroom. You will also be contacted by your online homeroom teacher (either through email, Google Meets, or Google Voice) for a “Monday Meet-Up.” During this time, you and your teacher will discuss how things are going, and your teacher will share the expectations for the week.
Tuesday, April 14, 2020 - Assignment
Students will complete the following:

Your teacher can offer suggestions for family activities to do together to highlight the week of learning, or discuss/review the wonderful work you have turned in.
