SECURITY, MAKE IT A PRIORITY
THE HEADLINES
We want to stay out of the headlines when it comes to security attacks. Recently ransomware, malware and other attacks have been in the headlines. These things are NOT a simple inconvenience, they can lead to crippling problems with payroll, scheduling, and other operational items like internet access and utilities.
The weakest link when it comes to security is the user. We are human, we make errors. A breach is a matter of when and how big, not if. Protect your passwords, change them, update your software, run security patches. You need to know how to do this. This is your responsibility.

Wi Fi and CELL PHONES
How do I attach to StaffCell? Go to the Wi Fii settings on your phone. Click other network, type in the network name (StaffCell) and security WPA2, password (contact us for that).
Students need to also follow these rules. Students are NOT to attach phones to lpsstudent and must only use lpsguest in the areas where it is available to them - gym, cafeteria, media center and lobby areas. To discourage students from unauthorized phone usage in the classroom, we hide their access to lpsguest in the classroom. They can use their phones during lunch or other times of the day and in spaces other than the classroom per your building cell phone policy.
(Lake Ripley Elementary has lpsguest in all areas as student cell phone and social media usage is different at the elementary level. You do not have StaffCell, and use lpsguest.)
