Child Care Education Institute (CCEI)
We are excited to announce that Rainbow Child Care Centers has begun to use a new platform to continue professional development and education for our employees! We have partnered with Child Care Education Institute (CCEI) and created an online based education portal. CCEI has over 100 online child care training courses that meet state licensing requirements, Rainbow’s professional development standards, and Head Start requirements. CCEI courses cover a broad range of information, such as Learning Environments, Curriculum, Health and Safety, Nutrition, Child Guidance, Discipline, Administration, and Management.
On CCEI, employees will be able to sign in to the learning management system using their own unique user name and password. The learning management system is self-paced and automatically saves coursework, allowing employees to pick up where they left off. When finished with a course, a certificate of completion may be printed which can be used towards required licensing hours.
We look forward to embarking on this amazing opportunity with you!
We will be rolling this new Professional Development Training Platform in 2 Phases:
Phase 1: Regions 3,4,5,6,11,12,15
Phase 2: Regions 1,2,7,8,9,10,14,16

4 reasons You Can't Ignore the Importance of Early Childhood Education
By Jess Mansour Scherman
Conversations about the importance of early childhood education (ECE) have been circulating for quite some time. But more and more studies are coming to light that reveal the ever-present learning disparity between students who reaped the benefits of ECE and those who didn’t. Needless to say, the topic has become more prevalent than ever.
Educators, politicians and parents have become active participants in these discussions as our nation is in search of the best educational opportunities for our smallest citizens. Contemporary research has shown that the investment in early education — particularly among disadvantaged children — improves not only cognitive abilities, but also critical behavioral traits like sociability, motivation and self-esteem.
But while advocates have long promoted the importance of ECE, that doesn’t mean there are no longer skeptics who doubt its true impact. We’ve compiled information from several studies and reputable resources to help make the case for the profound impact of ECE.
Take a look at what we found in support of a thriving future for our country’s young minds!
1. The school-to-prison pipeline
2. The word gap
3. The U.S. trails other countries in ECE
4. White House Initiatives
