Cyberbullying is the misuse of the internet typically on social media networks that basically lead to online bullying. Whether it is slandering someones name or picking on them, It could ultimately lead to someone physically harming themselves or others.

  • (Parents) Establish rules about technology use
  • (Parents) Tell your kids that you will be watching over them
  • (Parents) Keep track or their post and activity
  • (Parents) Ask for their Passwords

  2. Never give away personally information especially to someone you do not trust
  3. If you are constantly being harassed think about deactivating your account

Reporting A Cyberbully

  1. Do not respond to the message
  2. Keep the evidence (screenshot/print/etc.)
  3. Block the cyberbully

Report to your Online Service Provider

  1. Review the terms of conditions to see if they have been violated
  2. Visit Social Media Safety Centers for more information
  3. Report the information so that they can handle the problem
