Mustangs in the Spotlight WEEK of 3/18
6th Grade Student of the Week
Natalia Zagal is a pathway explorer that relentlessly pursues excellence by being self-reflective and hopeful. Natalia has a self-awareness and is always willing to go the extra mile to help others. Natalia is positive in her interactions with others and strives to be a values driven leader that builds positive and productive relationships.
7th Grade Student of the Week
Gage Kooyers is a dedicated athlete and student. He is always going the extra mile for anyone around him. Gage is a values driven leader that is committed to serving the greater good by being grateful, kind, and honest. Gage is a natural born leader and has the ability to get others to pursue excellence with him. Gage models on a daily basis what it means to have the HEART of a Mustang.
8th Grade Student of the Week
Jack Burns exemplifies what it means to have the HEART of a Mustang. Jack shows leadership to others by always being willing to help and go the extra mile. An example of Jack being a values driven leader happens daily in the cafeteria when he is looking for trays and trash to help pick up. In the halls, he is the guy that stops to help someone who has dropped things. In the classroom, he contributes and helps others understand. We appreciate Jack’s unwavering commitment to always be thinking “we” not “me” in all that he does!

The Hilde Pony Express
Ms. Mitchell nominated Mrs. Clark for our #HildePonyExpress! DeeDee exemplifies the idea that ALL students will enter with a promise and exit with the purpose ensuring that all of her students have every chance to succeed not just in math but in all of their classes teaching them to advocate for themselves to get their needs met. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, a positive encouragement or a listening ear. She truly exemplifies the HEART of a Mustang.
Each week the #HildePonyExpress will be passed on to other teachers and staff! Check out our twitter to see more.
