Dear Families,

I want to extend my gratitude for our teachers and all of our staff for their work in creating a positive learning environment for all of our students. We continue to work with our students on social emotional learning in our classrooms so that they all are learning how to use calming strategies in the classroom, as well as how to problem solve appropriately.


Thank you to all of our families who attended parent conferences, we had over 250 families or 70% who met with our teachers. We are very appreciative of your time and teachers were happy to share with parents how their student was doing.


We will be celebrating our trimester awards on Wednesday, Dec.30th in our school cafeteria.

Families will be sent a message if their child is being recognized.

COVID testing

All students who were in class before the holiday break received rapid covid testing. Please administer to your child on Sunday, Nov. 27th. If negative your child can return to school on Monday. If positive, your child will need to stay home. Please fill out this form to let us know if your child is positive. KINDER REGISTRATION

Kinder registration is now open. Please schedule an appointment to come and register you incoming student. You can register in our school office, as well as online. ALL TK students must register for kindergarten.


We will be holding registration in person at Taft on Friday, December 2nd from 8:30-10:00am in our Flex room. Please bring the following items to register your child:


* Student’s birth certificate

* Student’s immunization record

* Parent or guardian picture ID

* Proof of address (two different documents are needed)


You can also register at the district office on the following dates and times.

Tuesdays: 12:00-5:00 PM
Wednesdays: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Thursdays: 12:00-5:00 PM

Reporting an absence

It is important to make sure that the office is notified as to the reason your child is absent. Please do so by either calling or filing out the school google form.
