Welcome Back Colts

We are so excited to see you tomorrow Colts! Our teachers have been preparing and planning and they can't wait to see you. If you have not picked up your class placement, please stop by the office today to pick it up, we have lots of other information that will be helpful to you. If you have other plans for the school year, please contact our front office so we can update our records.

As with many things in 2021, things are going to be a little different, but our SECO SPIRIT will be the same!

Our amazing staff has been working tirelessly to prepare to welcome back our students. While there are some differences and things may not be "normal", there are MANY things that will remain normal:

~ We will continue to learn

~ We will have fun

~ We will THRIVE

We are continuing to implement procedures that are new and different. As we smooth out the wrinkles in our procedures, we kindly ask that you:

~ Please be patient

~ Please be positive

~ Please be kind

Things may be bumpy and slow for the first few days- please roll with it and keep a positive outlook.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the school year!

Frequently Asked Questions

In an effort to provide more specific information related to the health, safety, and operational protocols for the 2021-2022 school year, we have put together a comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's). The full list of questions is on our district website: 2021-2022 FAQ's. These will be evaluated weekly and updated as needed.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

As with all things in 2021, things will look a little different:

  • School gates will be opened at 8:25am.
  • ONLY students and staff are allowed on campus at this time
  • Please avoid campus parking during drop off
  • Students will walk to their classroom number line and will wait for their teacher to walk them to the classrooms.
  • Please do not drop off students prior to 8:15. There is no supervision before 8:15 am.

Entrance & Exit Gates: To maintain social distancing, we must have multiple entrances and exit gates. Gates will be specific to grade levels. Students will enter in the morning through these gates and will be dismissed in the afternoon through these gates also.

TK/K: Far left side of the school. Entrance is off of Irene Way, past the parking lot

1st: Gate to the left of the office (if you are facing the school)

2nd-5th: Gates to the blacktop, to the right of the MPR (if you are facing the school)

Back Gates: The back gates that lead to Charlotte will be OPEN. Once students enter campus, they will be escorted to their designated line up area.

ESS: Students in ESS will be released on the blacktop to go to their line. They will be guided to class by our staff.

In an effort to maximize social distancing, reduce congregating and increase efficiency of pickup, we have several options available to our families:

1- Bike Riders/ Scooter Riders: Please remind your Colt to ALWAYS walk their bike/scooter when they arrive on campus. They may safely keep their bikes/ scooters in the bike rack in the front of the school

2- Walkers: We HIGHLY encourage our students to walk to school. It promotes health and is great for our environment.

3- Parking Lot:

TK/K: We kindly ask that you park your car and walk your students to the TK/K gates.

1st-5th Grade: Please use the outer loop/ roundabout. Please pull up as far as you can.

Please help keep our parking lot safe by following these guidelines:

~ Please pull all the way forward. Please do not park cars in any of the loops.

~ Please have students exit from the passenger side and immediately proceed to their assigned gate while maintaining social distancing.

~ Adults please stay in the car

~ The parking lot is designated for staff please
