An Interview With Ms. Suffield

The Adventures of Amy Shuffield
Amy Shuffield started her career by getting a Bachelors degree from Texas Christian University and later got her Masters degree from California State University. She teaches french and theater. Ms. Shuffield prefers to teach with group activities. She says that the hardest part about teaching is coming up with an engaging lesson plan. The most enjoyable thing about teaching, Amy says, is getting complimented by students.

Ms. Shuffield teaches the 9th grade. Her class room is very open. The desks are placed along the outside walls of the classroom, creating a thrust stage. Ms. Shuffield prefers to interact with her students as much as possible. She spends from 40 to 60 hours each week working on her career. She says that the biggest challenge in the teaching career is to plan engaging lessons
