A Look Back
What's New
February
Can you believe the school year is more than 1/2 over? Spring will be here before we know it. For Language Arts, the students are reading and writing words with glued sounds and controlled r. They are now reading passages rather than phrases. You will notice passages added to their homework bag on occasion. We will be reading Folktales and Fairytales. We will concentrate on subtraction fluency 0-10. Please practice facts with them at home. They will be introduced to telling time to the hour and half hour. In Science, we will begin our Earth, Moon & Sun unit. We will be celebrating our 100th day of learning on the 9th as long as Mother Nature continues to be nice. The kids have been asked to bring in an ingredient for a trail mix. Valentine's Day is approaching. I will be sending the party's donation list via Signup Genius. They can start thinking about Valentine Cards. I do not recommend they address their cards with student names ; it is hard for them to deliver this way. We will work hard for the next few week, and then that will bring us to February vacation. Please put March 3rd on your calendar...Community Night.
Thank you for your continued support.
