Cakes for the Queen of Heaven
4 Thursdays, Nov. 5, 12, 19, Dec. 3: 7:00-8:30pm
What would it have been like to grow up in a world where God was a woman?
In November and December Meg MacArthur, Marguerite Kirsch and Susan Chandler will guide us through an exploration of ancient goddesses and our own religious experiences using the classic UU curriculum Cakes for the Queen of Heaven. Part I is called “Why Women Need the Goddess.” In these four sessions we will cover:
November 5 – Reclaiming Our Bodies
November 12 – Reclaiming Mother-Daughter Relationships
November 19 – Reclaiming Our Power as Women
December 3 – Why did it happen? The Shift from Goddess to God
You’re invited to join us at the home of Marguerite Kirsch, 214 Blue Ridge Dr., about 5 minutes from the Fellowship. The sessions run from 7 to 8:30 pm on Thursdays.
Contact either Meg MacArthur, 639-2847 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Marguerite Kirsch, 508-0808 if you wish to participate. Or sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1E_vUr3gFxfdKS-cvjOCaePz7rjHpLqyaCiUfVg4kcgg/viewform
