21-22 Enrollment and Inter/Intra District Transfers
Students who are in PUSD middle schools, but who do not live in Poway High boundaries, will need to apply for an IDT here. Even if you have an IDT to attend the middle school, that will end when they transition to high school.
If your student is attending a Non-PUSD school for 8th grade, and you would like to be added to our Enrollment Information Wait List, please fill out the form here. When we have information about the upcoming enrollment process, we will send an email to the address you provided.

SDSU STEM Talks
SDSU Femineer and Women in Engineering Programs are excited to announce their three virtual STEM Talks of the semester featuring Northrop Grumman on February 26th, Motorola Solutions' Women of the West on March 5th, and Navair on April 16th, all from 2:00-3:15pm! Registration is required to participate in all events. All students are welcome to attend, female students are highly encouraged!
Community College Night - 2/9
Learn about the benefits of attending community college, financial aid, the application process, and more. There will also be presentations by Palomar College, Miramar College, Grossmont College, San Diego Community College District and Mira Costa College.

BigFuture Days Virtual College Fair - 2/6
Black College Expo - 2/18
Students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds can learn more about postsecondary options while possibly getting a scholarship or on-the-spot college admission by participating in next month’s Black College Expo.
The expo will include representatives from about 50 historically black colleges and universities. It will be completely virtual this year, giving even more students the opportunity to take part. Students will get all the advantages of the in-person event without having to worry about transportation.
High school students and education professionals can register for free.
Students who plan to attend also have the chance to win a scholarship from the National College Resources Foundation by submitting a short essay by Feb. 8.
Tutoring Available

The district is offering a Teen Positive Parenting Program for FREE via ZOOM! This webinar series is designed for parents and will address raising responsible teenagers while improving family communication. The English webinars have filled, but there are still available Spanish sessions:

North County Lifeline - FREE Group Parenting Classes
North County Lifeline offers FREE Parent Education workshops in English and Spanish. The parenting classes are an 8-week course via a virtual setting and parents are asked for full participation. Parents that are interested need to call them directly for more specific information and the start dates for the new series.

Our students and parents are invited to join 1:1 Zoom appointments with our Career Guidance Tech, Ms. Jaime Brown in February to complete the CCCApply application and apply for the Promise grant program. The Promise Grant program: free tuition for one year with no income requirements.

Juniors! If you plan to take the ACT or SAT this school year, please pay close attention to the dates to avoid late fees or missing the test entirely. You can register for the SAT at the College Board website here. You can register for the ACT at the ACT website here.

As you may know, The San Diego Foundation's 2021-2022 Common Scholarship Application opened Dec. 2nd. There are over 100 scholarships available to apply for until the deadline of Feb. 3rd.
UCLA Alumni Scholarship Opportunity
Seniors that will (most likely) be attending UCLA Fall 2021, the Alumni scholarships are merit based scholarships that are sponsored by the UCLA Alumni Association and open to UCLA first year students when they apply. If selected, scholarships range from $6,000 to $20,000 granted over a four year period. There’s a Prospective Student Night on January 28th and the application deadline is March 5th. Questions? “What Does Our American Community Ask of Us?" Essay Contest
The 2021 Ninth Judicial Circuit Civics Contest is open to 9-12th grade high school students. The top winners of the local contest in both the essay and video categories can win $1000 for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place. 2021 Civics Contest Information. The theme of the contest is “What Does Our American Community Ask of Us?” Students are encouraged to discuss the issues and to consider the examples identified or other relevant events in American history described in the attached Contest Rules.
