North Nation by Design

December Newsletter

North Nation by Design Families,

We want to thank you for all the hard work and perseverance through this first semester. Not only was it their first semester of high school, but also their first semester on a new team, new building, new expectation, new pandemic regulations. We ALL survived....sometimes barely, but we made it! We hope that your student has enjoyed NNbD and they feel supported and plugged in here at Liberty North High School. If there is ever anything that we can do to support you or your student, please don't ever hesitate to reach out!

Liberty Community Christmas Tree Adopt-A Family

North Nation by Design will be adopting 5 children through Liberty Community Christmas Tree. This is completely voluntary. We would love for students to make an IMPACT in our community through this project. The teachers will be contacting families and getting lists this week. If your family can donate financially or by purchasing a gift, that would be AMAZING!! Gifts will be due on Monday/Tuesday, December 7/8th. We will then have students do some wrapping on the 10th/11th and as a team of teachers we will be delivering the gifts on Saturday Dec. 12th! This is a small way to make a BIG impact in our community. We hope that you consider participating in any way that you are able.

Thank you!

Please encourage your student to get caught up in ALL of their classes. The week of December 14-18th marks the END of 1st semester at LNHS.

Finals Week - won't look like it usually does!

Students need to have work completed by December 18th. They will have a FINAL assignment in each of their core classes, but it will not be cumulative.

Students will take a Algebra/Geometry Final on December 17th/18th.

~It will be open note

~It will be on MathXL

Learner Dispositions

Learner Dispositions refer to the way in which learners engage in and relate to the learning process. Learning dispositions affect how students approach learning and therefore the outcomes of their learning. As a group, we have been working on these through different activities during our NNbD time.
