Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), is a nationally known program that encourages students to realize their academic potential and places them on a college-bound path. In this four year long elective class, students learn organizational and study skills, work on critical thinking and questioning skills, foster academic growth through collaboration with peers and participate in enrichment and motivational activities. Students and teachers create a support system to succeed in rigorous academic courses. AVID curriculum and activities promote college-readiness, career exploration and motivation.
