Pamlico Sound
The Pamlico Sound is a sound along the North Carolina coast. This Sound is the largest and contains the Albemarle Sound, Currituck Sound, Croatan Sound, Bogue Sound, and the Core Sound.
The importance of Estuaries
Estuaries are important because they bring up cold, nutrient rich water to the surface. This is good for not only fishermen, but also for the fish that live in the water! This colder water is healthier for the fish and brings more oxygen up for the fish.
