FAE Parent Update - February 2023

What Parents Need to Know Vol 2.5 Ed. 8

Message from Dr. Murray

Dear Parents,

4K & K5 Registration is Open

SDPC is now accepting applications for our 3K and 4K programs for the 2023-24 school year!

4K Registration: A child who is four years old on or before September 1 may register for four-year-old kindergarten; however, the child must qualify for the program. Each student is screened; only qualified students are accepted into the program.

More Information: www.pickens.k12.sc.us/page/pre-k-information-page

5K Registration: A child who is five years old on or before September 1 can register for five-year-old kindergarten. More Information: www.pickens.k12.sc.us/page/registration

Schools will use this registration to contact parents of potential 3K and 4K students to set up screening appointments.

Volunteer Training Dates: SDPC requires all adults interested in volunteering to be trained annually. See the remaining dates for training held at FAE. Spring field trips are coming.

In Service,

Dr. Ashley Anderson-Murray, Principal

Your chance to grow closer to your kids is coming this spring. All Pro Dad is hosting an in-stadium family event at Memorial Stadium on the Clemson University campus. Parents and children will get to experience fun activities, games, and conversations all aimed at building better bonds.

On March 11th take the field at Clemson Memorial Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. when you’ll learn how to shift for success from station leaders + the Tigers championship coach, Dabo Swinney.
