We have had 6 qualified candidates apply for the 3 open seats on the CCA Board. Therefore, Cherry Creek Academy will hold an election for our community to select three Board members. This open election will commence on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 7:00 pm, and will close on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The Election will be held by electronic ballot. A unique and confidential electronic ballot will be sent to the email address listed in PowerSchool for each parent/guardian.

Due to an update in Powerschool in the District, the only way for you to change your email addresses and phone numbers as of right now is to contact the school and have us change your email manually. This is crucial to know with an election coming up as the ballot is only delivered to the emails on file in Powerschool. If you would like to change your email address please fill out this quick form or if you have any questions please feel free to email Rachel Brooks at rbrooks@cherrycreekacademy.org. Please update your email address in PowerSchool by Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 8:00 am.

Cherry Creek Academy will host a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Our community is invited to attend this event and will have the opportunity to ask our Board Candidates questions if you are here in-person. Friday, May 27th is our last day of school and is a half day for our students. There is no after school (Champions) on this day.

We will be offering breakfast in the morning but we will not have snacks or lunch on this day.

Open to teams of four (4) composed of students in grades 6-8 (including 5th grade STUCO members) - any combination of grade and gender.

• Team and event sign-up via Google Form. Registration will close Thursday May 12 at 3:30 PM.

STUCO will provide sandwiches and drinks for participants. Parents, please use the following link to sign-up to help chaperone and/or bring snack foods.

It is suggested that participants bring non-CCA uniform clothing for this event.

The number of events run will be time dependent; there is no guarantee that all events will be held.

Each year we do a graduation video featuring your child and we need your help collecting images for that video. Please fill out this short google form about your graduating 8th grader where you will submit 1 baby/toddler photo and 1 current photo of your student for the video. Thank you in advance for helping us celebrate your children! We have been collecting photos for awhile now and are down to the last few. If you haven't gotten yours in, or one of yours in - now is the time to send it! TODAY is the deadline for photos to be accepted.

Cherry Creek Academy is excited to host summer camps this summer. Please select from the offerings below for the camp(s) that best suits your schedule, child’s age, and sport(s) you wish to attend. Each camp has a participation fee of up to $200 and will require registration paperwork to be filled out by the parent or guardian before the student can participate in the summer camp. Participation fees include a long sleeve CCA Athletics T-shirt. Please notify Mr. Mahan with any questions you may have at dmahan@cherrycreekacademy.org. Once you have registered, you will receive confirmation and be connected with the coach or teacher for that camp.

Please note, these camps will fill up fast. We will honor the first 30 to sign up for soccer, volleyball, martial arts, basketball, K-2 Movement, and art camp for each session. Our Cross Country Camp is grouped so that no more than 15 may sign up for each session. If there is an overwhelming number of participants, we will consider an additional 3rd session for that camp. The additional session will take place June 13th-17th for volleyball, soccer, martial arts, and basketball. Please adhere to the practice times for each camp. Students not picked up from their camp within fifteen minutes of the end time will be given one opportunity to stay with the coaches. After the second late pickup, we will issue a refund for that student and they will no longer be able to participate in that session.

The PTO is hosting a Pastries with Parents/Volunteer Appreciation Day on May 20, 2022 at 7:15 am in front of the school's parking lot. If you are planning on attending please RSVP here. Students are not allowed to take pastries without their parents. We hope to see you all there!

Each year, the Cherry Creek Academy Foundation awards a one-time academic scholarship of $1,000 to a high school senior who attended CCA. If you know a graduating senior who is interested in applying for the 2022 scholarship award to support future studies, please encourage them to make sure their current email address is on file in PowerSchool at My.cherrycreekschools.org. CCA alumni graduating in 2022 should expect to receive instructions via email on how to apply for the CCA Foundation scholarship by mid March. Seniors no longer in the Cherry Creek District remain eligible and may email their contact information to scholarshipcommittee@cherrycreekacademy.org.

Our FUN RUN is coming up on Friday, May 20, 2022! More information to come!

New Colorado legislation has prompted greater need to screen and document volunteers in our schools. Therefore, beginning January 2022, we must ensure that every person entering CCA must have a CCA staff badge or a visitor badge printed from the Raptor System. Please be sure to have your identification on you so that you can share that with Ms. Sadie if you need to enter CCA. Using the raptor system Ms. Sadie will then print a Raptor ID badge for you.

CCSD is also requiring that every volunteer complete a brief application to support activities in CCSD schools. This application links directly to CCSD's raptor system.
