Bus Behavior
Dear Parents:
This year we have seen an influx in student misconduct on the school bus. This is a huge concern because of the safety risk this poses for students, bus drivers, as well as other drivers sharing the roadways. It is imperative that you have gone over and continue to review, the Bus Behavior Contract that was sent home and emailed to all families of students who ride the bus. Please remember that bus transportation to and from school is a privilege. Students who continue to receive bus referrals and/or verbal complaints from the bus driver will be suspended from riding the school bus.
BRBGE Attendance
Good Afternoon BRBGE Parents
As partners in Education it is imperative that students are at school on time everyday learning and gaining exposure to engaging content. To this effect effective next Monday, October 2, 2023 parents of BRBGE will no longer be able to pick up students prior to 2:30. All doctor's appointments and other engagements must be taken care of after 3:25 pm during the school days. Students are counted tardy after 8:10 and to date we have noticed that some student are arriving late to school upwards of 9:30am. Students must be at school by 8:10. Students with multiple tardies and absences will be receiving home visits, phone calls and further documentation as the district is looking towards a 95% attendance rate. Please be advised that a student can be retained given a large number of absences and tardies. Please note truancy is also a consequence to poor attendance. We are here to support your needs please reach out for further information.
A Request
We would like for parents to donate cases of water for students and staff for recess and car duty to support keeping our kids and staff hydrated in this tough climate.
Bus Concerns
Any bus concerns regarding routes, times, location and complaints regarding the transportation piece can be shared with Michael Jones 832-850-7636. The link for transportation is found below:
Important Matters that YOU Can Help Us With!
Parents,
Please help us by helping your child remember their lunch numbers. Last week, lunch numbers and a "pin pad" were given to the students to practice their numbers in class. This will help with the backup with the lunch lines.
Another number to help your student learn is their car rider numbers. This will help speed up the car rider lines in the afternoon.
We appreciate your help with these matters more than you know!
