Industrial revolution was late and slow only on Basque country, Catalonia and large cities. Most of the population still worked in the fields like England or Germany used advanced machinery and were much more productive. Modern transport like railway didn´t appear until the second half of the century
The bourguesi became rich and they also became the dominant social class. The industrial revolution bought serious problems such as harsh workin conditions and even child explotation. In rural areas the peasants also lived in extreme poverty. Where the reason for the politicals demands or the workin class.
