O'Neil's News

We have some wonderful opportunities in the next couple of weeks providing parents with a chance to engage in discussion about positive parenting practices with one another.

On March 7, Pastor Rick Hilborn will present a seminar entitled Positive Parenting Strategies. The evening will include a discussion about incorporating intentional quality time and having meaningful conversations with your children. It will also be a great opportunity for parents in our community to connect with one another.

Shelly Milligan, Director of Breakout Drug Free Education, will be presenting at CUES on March 14. She will share factors that contribute to adolescent stress, social pressure, and isolation from the use of the Internet and cell phones. She will also discuss the impact of media on emerging drug trends.

Both seminars will be held in the CUES library from 6:30-7:30 PM. A light snack will be provided. An invitation was sent home with your child. You may still register by returning the form or calling the CUES office. We look forward to having the opportunity to further our partnership with parents at CUES for the success of our children.

Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!

In honor of Reading Month and the lessons of Dr. Seuss, we have shared some of his most famous quotes below.

“Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”

- Happy Birthday to You! (1959)

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

- Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (1990)

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

- I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! (1978)

“And when things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too!”

- Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (1990)

“You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so…get on your way!”

- Oh, the Places You’ll Go (1990)
